Thieves who stole six paintings from the city government building of the city of Medemblik in the province of North Holland returned them intact to art detective Arthur Brand, who is searching for missing art objects, reports Euronews.
The stolen paintings were delivered directly to the detective’s home, and they explained that these were paintings from Medemblik. Probably, the thieves were unable to sell the paintings due to their great historical value and decided to return them.
The Medemblik administration offered Brand a cash reward of 10 thousand euros for the return of the paintings, but the detective refused.
