On October 20, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which a number of documents were signed, upcoming events were announced, and reports were given on the state of affairs in the field of international cooperation, economics, agriculture and transport.

The documents signed by the head of state

• Resolution on approval of a new sample and description of a passport of a citizen of Turkmenistan, as well as the procedure for its registration and issuance.
• Resolution authorizing the conclusion of a contract for the reconstruction and construction of additional buildings and structures of the Ahal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan with the Turkish company Gap Inşaat Ýatyrym we Dyş Tijäret A.Ş.. Construction work will begin in October 2023 and end in April 2026.
• Resolution “On announcing a competition for the President of Turkmenistan Türkmeniň Altyn asyry Award” among literary, cultural and artistic figures, amateur young singers and gifted children”. Foreign citizens will also be able to take part in the competition.

Announcements of upcoming events

On October 25-26, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will pay an official visit to the Republic of Türkiye. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov informed about this.

On October 27–28, the velayats and cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag will host events within the framework of the Mukama siňen ömür festival in honor of the 85th anniversary of the famous Turkmen composer Nury Halmamedov. Deputy Prime Minister Mahrijemal Mammedova reported on this.

Preparations are underway for events in honor of the Turkmen Alabai Holiday on the last Sunday of October (October 29), Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atahalliyev reported. Within the framework of the celebration, the final round of the international competition Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy, as well as an exhibition and an international scientific conference will be held. It is also planned to organize the III meeting of the International Association of Türkmen alabaý itleri.

Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov spoke about preparations for the XXVIII International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2023” (OGT-2023), which will be held on October 25-27.

In the first ten days of December, the XI Turkmen-German Forum on Healthcare will be held online. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nurmuhammet Amannepesov spoke about its preparation.

Transport

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the proposals of the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, Mammethan Chakyev, to further strengthen the material and technical base of the country’s international airports to ensure the safety and uninterrupted operation of flights.

Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov reported on plans for the reconstruction of the northern bypass highway Ashgabat - Geoktepe. It is planned to build new road bridges along this road across a mudflow drainage canal and a railway line, which will meet modern requirements and international standards.

The international cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported on the results of the working visit to China of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to participate in the III high-level forum “One Belt, One Road”.

The head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan made a speech at the forum and met with the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and other high-ranking officials. Priority areas of strategic cooperation between the two countries in various fields were discussed. As a result of the visit, several bilateral documents were signed.

Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova reported on the reception of credentials from the Ambassadors of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and Canada, as well as meetings with the Foreign Minister of North Macedonia and the UAE Plenipotentiary Representative in Turkmenistan. Turkmen deputies took part in a number of events organized by UN agencies.

Economics and trade

Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov reported on the creation of an automated electronic database and ensuring its operation based on uniform technical requirements.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Atdayev spoke about plans to create a national trademark label “Made in Turkmenistan”. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the Deputy Prime Minister's proposal to create an interdepartmental working group to finalize proposals for the label design.

Agriculture

In the velayats of Turkmenistan, agricultural work on growing wheat, including its sowing, fertilization and irrigation, is being actively carried out, reported Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atahalliyev. In addition, the necessary measures are being taken to harvest cotton and pay the labor of its producers.
