On the final day of his working visit to Beijing, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
Before the meeting, the parties took pictures against the background of the State flags of Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China.
During the negotiations, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, including trade, economic, investment, energy, transport, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The parties noted the progressive development of Turkmen-Chinese relations based on the principles of good neighborliness, friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Following the meeting, bilateral documents were signed aimed at strengthening and expanding cooperation between Turkmenistan and China.
Among the signed documents:
- Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the People's Republic of China on technical and economic cooperation;
- Memorandum of Understanding between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China on cooperation in strengthening the capacity of the Authorized Economic Operator Program.
