French actor Edouard Montoute, known for his role as Inspector Alain in the film “Taxi,” arrived in Turkmenistan. He will take part in the first international film festival Arkadagyň säheri (“Dawn of Arkadag”), which will be held in the city of Arkadag on October 14-15, reports the IIC.
Upon arrival in Ashgabat, Montoute met with journalists and spoke about his impressions of the trip.
“I came to Turkmenistan for the first time. I am very pleased to take part in this festival, which, as far as I know, is being held for the first time in the country. I am sure it will be an unforgettable event”, - Montoute said.
The event will also be attended by actors and directors from Central Asian countries, media representatives and foreign guests. The main goal of the film festival is to identify young talents, develop Turkmen cinema, patriotic education of young people, as well as familiarize the world community with the capabilities of the digital system and the equipment of the city of Arkadag with advanced technologies.
