As we previously reported, the VII International Festival of Puppet Theaters “Chodari Khayol” will be held in Dushanbe from October 24 to 29.
Students of the puppet department of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture will take part in the festival for the first time and will take there the production “Eternal Legends” based on the books of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This was reported by the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
Teacher of the Department of Acting and Stage Speech Ilyas Durdyev says:
- The play “Eternal Legends” was previously staged at the Turkmen State Puppet Theater and was a great success. Professional actors took part in it. Now, with students learning the basics of puppet theater acting, we are studying the plastic language of the performance and practicing the technique of working with objects.
For students, representing Turkmenistan on the international stage among theater groups from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Iran is not only a great responsibility, but also a step towards the development of stage skills and professional growth.
Let us remind that the premiere of the play “Eternal Legends” was held within the framework of the International Festival “Theatrical Art of the Age of Happiness”, which was held in Ashgabat in November 2019.
