The Turkmenistan Olympic football team (U-23) defeated the Taiwan team with a score of 4:0 in the first match of the qualifying round of the 2024 Asian Cup. Among the winners, Ashgabat “Kopetdag” forward Shamammed Hydyrov scored a hat-trick, and “Altyn Asyr” footballer Nurmyrad Rozyev scored another goal.
The qualifying tournament in Group “K” is held in a centralized format in the Indonesian city of Surakarta.
The rivals of the Turkmen team in the group are the teams of Taiwan and Indonesia. In the next match, the Olympic team of Turkmenistan will meet the Indonesian team on September 12.
