The art and culture of the Turkmen people were presented at the 25th International Anatolian Festival of Culture and Art of the Turkic Peoples, which started on September 1 in Ankara.
According to the press service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Turkey, according to the draw held by the organizing committee of the festival among the diplomatic missions in Ankara, the 5th day of the festival was declared the Day of Turkmenistan.
Over 20 thousand spectators gathered to get acquainted with the culture and art of the Turkmen people.
On the big stage, pop singer Begench Orayev successfully presented the Turkmen musical art and his author's song Arkadagly türkmen. The performance of the singer and the Day of Turkmenistan were broadcast live on the Etimesgut TV channel.
On this day, the pavilion of Turkmenistan aroused particular interest among the guests of the festival. With the support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ankara, an exhibition was organized with works of national arts and crafts, folk crafts. Highly artistic carpet products aroused great interest among visitors.
A separate place of the exhibition was occupied by the literary works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Visitors to the Turkmen yurt were also able to taste traditional national cuisine.
The International Festival in Ankara has been held since 1998 with the aim of demonstrating and popularizing the original culture and art of the Turkic peoples.
The festival will last until September 10.
