In Istanbul, after a long drought that lasted several months, there was a heavy downpour that led to a flood, writes the “Izvestia” newspaper.
At least three people died from the storm, and five more were injured. In the districts of Arnavutkoy, Basaksehir and Kyuchukchekmece, water flows carried away cars, roads turned into rivers, and it became almost impossible to travel by car.
The flood also affected the city's subway and a significant number of residential buildings.
