Within the framework of the “Tasty Kazan” gastro-festival, under the joint organization of the Committee for Tourism of the city of Kazan and the Consulate General of Turkmenistan, a master class on cooking a traditional Turkmen dish - pilaf was held.
According to the press service of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan, the chefs prepared pilaf according to all the canons of Turkmen cuisine. After cooking, the participants and guests of the festival were able to appreciate the taste of the dish. Judging by the queues of people who want to try pilaf, it was highly appreciated by the festival audience.
Thus, the event contributed to the acquaintance of residents and guests of Kazan with the traditional cuisine of Turkmenistan and the strengthening of cultural ties between the countries.
Let us note that this year the gastronomic festival “Tasty Kazan” was visited by about 55 thousand people. For the first time, the events unfolded at two sites at once - at the “Kazan” Family Center and in the Government Offices of the Kazan Kremlin.
The festival program included a waiter's race, a tartare cooking contest, culinary and children's master classes, lectures from bloggers, performances by cover bands, and a prize draw.
