Dogs of the Kazakh tazy breed became the winners of the World Dog Show 2023 in Geneva, reported “Khabar 24” news channel.
Dogs Tumar and Vangelia competed in the group of unrecognized breeds and received the highest award. For the first time they participated in international competitions under the auspices of the International Cynological Federation.
Kazakh tazy (by other names - Kazakh, Turkmen or Central Asian Greyhound) is an ancient breed of hunting dogs, which has long been used by the inhabitants of the steppes and deserts in horse hunting. The Kazakh tazy are slightly larger than the Turkmen ones, but they are very similar in appearance and character.
At the World Dog Show 2023 championship in Geneva, 20 thousand dogs of different breeds from all over the world were entered.
