From August 21 to September 2, Ashgabat hosts the first and second modules of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) coaching course under the PRO license program. This is the highest coaching category, which gives the right to coach professional football teams.
According to the press service of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, 15 local coaches representing the clubs of the national championship and the national team participate in the course. They study the theoretical and practical aspects of the football game under the guidance of UEFA instructor Gennady Skurtul from Moldova and his assistant Rovshen Muhadov from Turkmenistan.
The coaching course consists of four stages and eight modules, which will take place from August 2023 to July 2024. The third and fourth modules are scheduled for the end of this year. After successfully passing the exams, participants will receive PRO licenses under the AFC program.
The AFC PRO category coaching course is an important step in the development of football in Turkmenistan and the professional development of the coaching staff.
