The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Federal Customs Authority of the United Arab Emirates will develop cooperation within the framework of the “Agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates”.
As reported on the GTTS website, the Agreement regulates interaction, primarily in such areas as the prevention of customs offenses, mutual information exchange, research and development of new customs procedures, training of employees, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
Let us remind that the Agreement was signed during the visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the United Arab Emirates in November 2022.
The agreement was ratified by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan on July 31, 2023.
