Turkmenistan has a unique museum where you can see animals from different parts of the world in their natural environment. This is the National Museum of Wildlife (Ashgabat Zoo), located on the slopes of the Kopetdag Mountains.
It attracts many visitors, especially children and teenagers, who want to get acquainted with the diversity of nature, writes the newspaper "Turkmenistan".
The museum occupies a large area and is divided into four zones. Here you can see animals from the African savannah, deserts and plains, tropical forests and water spaces. Antelopes, white rhinos, zebras, red giraffes, bactrian camels, Nile crocodiles, different types of snakes, tropical fish, birds of prey and much more live here.
The museum also has a giant hall 30 meters high, where you can see a dinosaur statue and expositions about the nature of Turkmenistan. Here are samples of flora and fauna of deserts and semi-deserts, mountain landscapes, rivers and lakes, cave animals, the Caspian Sea.
The National Wildlife Museum is not only a place for entertainment and recreation, but also for education. Here you can learn a lot of interesting things about the animal world of the Earth, its diversity and features. The museum is a precious gene pool of the national reserve and zoo of Ashgabat.
