1. Racers of the Malaysian motorcycle expedition, following the route London - Kuala Lumpur, visited Turkmenistan. This project is launched and supported by the Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry. The expedition, consisting of six motorcyclists, will travel through 16 countries and 66 cities in 66 days and arrive in Kuala Lumpur on the 66th anniversary of Malaysia's independence. After getting acquainted with the sights of Ashgabat, the motorcyclists continued on their way to Mary, and then Turkmenabat, from where they headed to Uzbek Bukhara from the Farab border post.

2. In the new academic year, a new course in the field of “social work” will be opened at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, for which 10 people will be recruited for training. Graduates of this course will be able to work in state systems of labor and social protection, education, healthcare, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, local executive authorities, as well as in public organizations, enterprises and organizations as social work specialists, teachers and educational psychologists.

3. A temporary exhibition dedicated to the national leather craft has opened at the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. The exhibition presents leather products: national musical instruments, leather jewelry, hunting equipment, household items, clothing. Also, here you can get acquainted with the works of famous painters, made on the skin and old photographs.

4. On the lands of the daihan association Täze durmuş, Akdepe etrap, Dashoguz velayat, seasonal work is in full swing to care for cotton crops. A valuable industrial crop is grown on an area of 1200 hectares, which requires special attention and care. Many farmers expect to get a good harvest of “white gold” in the fall and exceed their contractual obligations to the state. This year, the farmers of the Täze durmuş daikhan association plan to collect and deliver 2640 tons of raw cotton to the Harman of the Motherland.

5. According to the hydrometeorological service of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, hot and cloudy weather is expected in all velayats and the capital of the country until the end of July. The air temperature during the day can reach +43 degrees, and at night it can drop to +21 degrees. The wind will blow from the north, changing direction and increasing to 17 meters per second.

On August 31, a so-called “supermoon” will also be observed, when the Moon will be at perigee - the point closest to the Earth, which will make it appear larger than usual. On this day, the distance from the satellite to the Earth will be 354 thousand 27 kilometers. On the night of the “supermoon” the Moon will visually appear about 13,5% larger than when it is at its apogee - at its maximum distance from the Earth.

7. Direct flights between the capitals of Uzbekistan and Hungary will be launched in August this year. The flights will be carried out by the Uzbek airline Qanot Sharq on an Airbus A320 aircraft. Flights on this route are scheduled from August 20.

8. Mobileye has developed a new technology that allows vehicles to read traffic signs. Smart car sensors can identify information on traffic signs and determine the maximum speed allowed in a given section, as well as read signs with images, such as the “Caution for children” sign, and adjust the speed accordingly. Mobileye is certified in the European Union, Norway, Türkiye and Israel.

9. The first ever futsal tournament among the national teams of Central Asia continues in Dushanbe. On July 24, the matches of the second round of the competition were held. Turkmen futsal players lost to the hosts of the tournament - the national team of Tajikistan (2:4). In other games of the day, the Afghan team won a confident victory over Uzbekistan (4:3), while Iran beat Kyrgyzstan (1:0) with a minimum score. Following the results of two rounds, the leadership in the standings belongs to Afghanistan, which scored six points. It is followed by four teams with an equal number of points - Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Iran.

10. An open championship in mixed martial arts MMA, hand-to-hand and universal combat, hapkido and kabaddi was held in the multi-profile sports complex of the city of Arkadag. More than 200 fighters of different ages took part in the tournament. The event was organized by the Federation of Martial Arts “Hanmudo” of Turkmenistan, the Main Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the city of Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag. The competition helped to find new talents who will defend the honor of the Motherland in the international arena in the future.
