1. Issues on the participation of Turkmenistan in the International Exhibition “Expo-2023 Doha” were discussed during the working visit of the Turkmen delegation to Qatar. The visit was held from July 17 to 21, during which the Turkmen representatives met with the Secretary General of the international exhibition “Expo-2023 Doha” Mohammed Ali Al Khoury. After the talks, was held the ceremony of signing the Agreement on the participation of Turkmenistan in the Expo.

2. The summer season is the time for vacations and travel. Many residents of the capital of Turkmenistan prefer to spend their holidays in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone, which is located on the shores of the Caspian Sea. To meet the demand for air transportation to “Avaza”, Ashgabat International Airport has increased the number of flights on the Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi-Ashgabat route. Now there are 4 flights per day, which are operated by Boeing 737-700 aircraft of “Turkmenistan” Airlines.

3. Korean construction company Daewoo Engineering & Construction has announced plans to open a branch in Turkmenistan in the coming months. Daewoo is already working on the implementation of several projects in Turkmenistan, including the construction of plants for the production of phosphorus and urea fertilizers, according to the head of the company, Baek Chung Wan.

4. A shopping center will be built in the Turkmen-Uzbek border zone of the Dashoguz velayat. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday signed the Decree, permitting the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations to conclude a contract for its design and construction with the repair and construction unit of the subordinated Central Department of the Association of Consumer Societies. The contract also includes the improvement of the adjacent territory and the laying of external supply engineering systems for communication, electricity and water supply.

5. New Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Turkmenistan Rubem Antonio Correa Barbosa met with teachers and students of Turkmen universities. The meeting was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The Ambassador spoke in detail about his diplomatic, business and life experience, citing memorable fragments of his professional activity and impressive events associated with it.

6. The opening ceremony of the 6th International Dance Festival was held in Urumqi. More than a thousand dancers from Asia, Africa and Europe arrived in China to participate. For 17 days, performances by artists in the genres of folk dance, musical, and classical ballet will be held on the stages of Urumqi. Among other things, the audience will be presented with the famous Chinese ballet “The Red Detachment of Women” and Tchaikovsky's ballet “Sleeping Beauty” with the participation of dancers from Belarus. Dance workshops and a fashion show are also planned within the framework of the festival. The festival will end on August 5.

7. A resident of Kentucky discovered the legendary treasure of the American Civil War. Over 700 XIX century gold coins were found in a cornfield in early July. Specialists and antique coin dealers have already named this find the Great Kentucky Treasure because of its rarity and value. All coins have denominations of one, ten and twenty dollars and were minted in 1861-1863. Experts estimate that the total value of the Great Kentucky Treasure is at least a million dollars.

8. The rivals of “Ahal” were determined at the training camp in Türkiye, where the team is preparing for the resumption of the Turkmenistan football championship and the upcoming AFC Champions League. “Ahal” will play four friendly matches against clubs from different countries in Kartepe. The opponents of the champion of Turkmenistan will be: Qatari “Umm-Salal”, Kuwaiti “Al-Arabi”, Saudi “Al-Adalh” and “Al-Faisaly”, which is coached by the former head coach of the Turkmenistan national team Ante Mishe. “Ahal” training camp in Türkiye will be held from July 20 to August 4.

9. The Football Federation of Turkmenistan and the Indonesian Football Association are planning to hold a friendly match between national teams. The friendly match is scheduled for September 8. Previously, at the level of the national teams, the teams of Indonesia and Turkmenistan met each other four times. The Indonesian national team won the qualifying tournament for the 2014 World Cup (4:3). Another duel between the teams in the qualifying round of the 2014 World Cup ended in a draw (1:1). Within the framework of the qualifying tournament for the 2006 World Cup, the teams exchanged home victories with the same score - 3:1. Let us remind, the national football team of Turkmenistan also plans to hold a friendly match with the Hong Kong team in September.

10. From July 13 to 21, the 17th Asian Chess Championship among schoolchildren was held in Tashkent. It was attended by 330 young athletes from 17 countries of the Asian and Australian continents. The tournament was held in three types of time control: classic, rapid and blitz. Turkmen chess players showed excellent results in this championship, winning seven medals in different categories. The most striking achievement was the gold of Amanmuhammet Hommadov from Ashgabat in the category of boys under 17 (U17).
