The prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed today by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the Turkmen-Tajik inter-MFA consultations, announced the “Watan” news program of the Turkmen television.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that over the 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the Turkmen-Tajik cooperation, which is of an active nature, continues to steadily strengthen. Efficient cooperation mechanisms have been established in various fields, and a solid legal framework has been formed.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted with satisfaction that during the state visit to Tajikistan, the parties' commitment to further strengthening the fruitful partnership was confirmed, and a solid package of documents was signed.
In the context of the multifaceted Turkmen-Tajik partnership, the head of Turkmenistan focused on cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, cultural, educational, transport and other areas, emphasizing the readiness for further joint work to fully utilize the existing potential.
