On the eve of the next entrance campaign, the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan held a competition of innovative technologies for students and future applicants.
The competition for the first time went beyond the university and united on its platform students from other higher educational institutions, as well as high school students from secondary general education and specialized schools, young professionals from various research and production structures. In total, more than 700 projects were submitted to the competition. One hundred of them, by decision of the expert commission, provided “tickets” to the final for their authors, who became participants in the final competitive round.
According to the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan", within the framework of the final, a wide exposition of design works was presented and they were defended before a solid competition commission. And later, a solemn ceremony of summing up the results of the competition took place, at which the winners were named, who were awarded special certificates and valuable prizes.
The projects of the contest participants covered various spheres of human life. The experts assessed the relevance and novelty of the ideas, their practical significance, and the feasibility of implementation.
Based on the results of the defense, 20 authors from different parts of the country were identified. Ziyarat Narbaev from Lebap velayat won the Grand Prix in the nomination "Robotics and Energy". His project "Robotic Arm" is designed to facilitate and speed up the work of agricultural workers. Ziyarat has developed a robotic solution for delicate fruit picking. The robot imitates the movements of a human hand and is able to collect dozens of times more fruits or berries during a work shift than the average farmer.
Among the winners is also Kerimberdi Halov, a schoolboy from the Dashoguz velayat. His project "Eco 3D printer", aimed at solving the problem of recycling plastic, offers his own technology for processing it for further use as a material for 3D printing.
For the first time, the competition of innovative technologies at the university started in 2017. During this time, it has become not only a kind of hallmark of the university, but also a solid bridge to the economy of the future.
