On July 15, the State Museum of Oriental Art in Moscow will open a personal exhibition of the People's Artist of Turkmenistan, sculptor Babasary Annamuradov.
This is the first personal exhibition of the artist in the capital of Russia.
According to “Artmoskovia” more than 40 sculptural and graphic works will be exhibited at the exhibition.
People's Artist of Turkmenistan, honorary member of the Academy of Arts of Russia Babasary Annamuradov is known in Russian artistic circles as one of the leaders of the national school of sculpture.
For about 20 years he headed the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan and at the same time was a member of the Executive Committee of the Confederation of Unions of Artists of the CIS. In 2000 he was awarded the Pushkin Gold Medal for his contribution to the development, enhancement and preservation of national cultural traditions, support and assistance to creative workers.
