The decree on the celebration of Eid al-Adha on June 28-29-30, 2023 was signed today by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov "in order to carefully preserve the primordial spiritual and moral values of the Turkmen people, as well as in accordance with Article 81 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan," the information program Watan reported Turkmen television.

The document requires "all institutions, enterprises and organizations, regardless of the form of ownership, to ensure the implementation of this Decree."

Kurban Bayram - one of the two main Islamic holidays, is celebrated 70 days after another important holiday - Oraza Bayram. The days of its celebration in Turkmenistan are non-working.
