The USAID Advanced Skills Development (YDA) Project, in partnership with the Sanly Bilim Training Center, hosted a “Job Fair” in Ashgabat for TechYouth Bootcamp alumni, which included intensive six-month full-immersion IT courses.
Before the start of the event, certificates of successful completion of one of the courses within the framework of the program were awarded to 35 young men and women who mastered the following skills within six months:
- Website development;
- Mobile app development;
- Graphic and UI / UX design;
- IT system maintenance and administration.
Directors, HR managers and IT specialists from 15 companies also took part in the “Job Fair”. They interviewed graduates of the program for employment or internships for available vacancies.
As noted during the event, USAID is helping youth gain in-demand skills that will make them competent and hardworking employees anywhere.
Building on the success of the TechYouth Bootcamp in Ashgabat, USAID plans to implement the next phases of the project in the provinces of Turkmenistan. Applications for the next phase of the program will be announced shortly.
