A new textbook on classical guitar was presented at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kuliyeva.
The authors of the textbook - teacher of the Department of Music History Murad Kurbanov and teacher of Children's Art School No. 3 of the Ashgabat City Department of Culture Leyli Nasyrova personally presented their work, reports "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
During the presentation, Murad Kurbanov spoke about the origin and development of the classical guitar, its historical prototypes, as well as about outstanding performers and composers of different eras – from the Renaissance to the present day. All this information was included in the new textbook.
As Leyli Nasyrova noted, this is the first modern textbook on classical guitar published in Turkmenistan. It is intended for students of children's music schools and art schools.
The classical guitar textbook, published in 2024, has become a real gift for students of children's music schools in the country. The textbook includes etudes for young guitarists of different levels of training, large-scale pieces, miniatures, polyphonic compositions, as well as works by Turkmen composers.
During the presentation, music school students and conservatory students demonstrated their guitar playing skills.
