The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent sincere congratulations to the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping on the occasion of his 70th birthday celebrated today.

“In the past decade, under your leadership, the People's Republic of China has made impressive progress towards building a modernized socialist state. We highly appreciate your personal contribution to strengthening the relations of friendship and cooperation between Turkmenistan and China. I am deeply convinced that the strategic partnership between our countries, based on the principles of mutual respect, trust and equality, will continue to develop successfully for the benefit of our peoples, in the interests of global peace and sustainable development,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said in his message.

Taking the opportunity, the head of the highest representative body of the people's power of Turkmenistan wished President Xi Jinping good health, long life and new successes in the highest state post, and peace, well-being and prosperity to the friendly people of China, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports today.

Earlier, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping on his 70th birthday.
