The team of students of Turkmenistan defeated the team of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sports in the match for the third place in the international basketball tournament dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev. The meeting, held on Monday at the Serhedchi Sports Center in Baku, ended with a score of 83:64 in favor of the Turkmen team.
The teams of Leningrad State University (LGU) and Azerbaijan Technical University met in the final match. The final meeting ended with the victory of the Russian team with a score of 82:58, the official website of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation reports.
Eight teams from Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan (two teams) took part in the tournament.
