The Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan at a meeting on May 10 approved the decision to announce the start of the campaign for early presidential elections, which are scheduled for July 9, from that day, the press service of the CIS executive committee reports.
As deputy chairman of the CEC Bakhrom Kuchkarov said at the meeting, parties must apply for registration of their authorized representatives by May 13 and submit documents for participation in the elections by May 15.
Nomination of candidates by parties is scheduled for May 17 - June 1. Candidate registration documents must be submitted to the CEC by June 2. Registration must end June 6th.
