President Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited President Emomali Rahmon to pay a visit to Turkmenistan at a convenient time for him. The head of Turkmenistan sounded the corresponding invitation during the meeting held today in Dushanbe with the Tajik colleague Emomali Rahmon. The invitation was gratefully accepted. The dates of the visit will be agreed through diplomatic channels, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
Speaking to the media, the President of Turkmenistan expressed his deep satisfaction with the results of the talks, which resulted in the signing of a solid package of bilateral documents.
“For Turkmenistan, the Republic of Tajikistan is an important and reliable partner, relations with which are built for the long term. Both states have an understanding and conviction that close multifaceted cooperation is for the benefit of our peoples, contributes to stability and development of regional and international processes,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
He expressed confidence that cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan would develop in all directions.
“This meets the long-term interests of the two countries and peoples,” the head of Turkmenistan emphasized.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov is visiting Tajikistan for the first time on a two-day state visit since taking office as President of Turkmenistan last March.
