Today, Turkmen-Tajik talks at the highest level were held in Dushanbe.
During the talks, Presidents Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Emomali Rahmon discussed in detail a wide range of interstate relations between the two countries, exchanged views in detail on topical issues on the international and regional agenda.
According to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, the parties paid special attention to expanding cooperation in the economic field. Energy, industry, transport, communications and agriculture were named among the priorities here.
The heads of state also considered issues of developing partnerships in the field of private entrepreneurship. In particular, the parties noted the need to establish direct contacts between the business structures of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
As a result of the Turkmen-Tajik talks at the highest level, it is planned to sign a package of bilateral documents designed to give impetus to the expansion of cooperation between the two states in key areas.
