President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to ensure a high level of organization of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, traditionally celebrated on the last Sunday of April. Relevant instructions of the head of state were given to Deputy Prime Minister Annageldi Yazmyradov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held today, the Watan news program of the Turkmen television reported.
As reported, within the framework of the celebrations, the second round of the International Competition "The Most Beautiful Ahal-Teke Horse of the Year", an equestrian marathon, and performances by the Group of National Equestrian Games "Galkynysh" were held. During the recent XIII meeting of the International Association of Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding, new members were admitted to its membership, and some domestic and foreign horse breeders were awarded the honorary title "Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan".
According to the festive program, it is planned to hold the final round of the contest “The most beautiful Ahal-Teke horse of the year”, as well as races in the International Ahal-Teke equestrian complex.
The winners of the competition for the best embodiment of the image of the Ahal-Teke horse in works of fine and decorative art will be awarded prizes on behalf of the head of state.
Addressing the meeting participants, the head of state said that on Sunday, April 30, the National Day of the Turkmen Horse would be widely and solemnly celebrated in the country.
“Ahal-Teke horses play a special role in the life of the Turkmen people. “Heavenly” horses are a miracle of our ancient land and an invaluable national treasure,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized.
Having cordially congratulated the meeting participants and all compatriots on the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the horse breeders good health, longevity, family well-being, and great success in their noble work.
