Today, the Ashgabat Equestrian Complex hosted the second qualifying round of the international Ahal-Teke horse beauty contest, timed to coincide with the National Day of the Turkmen Horse celebrated on the last Sunday of April. The competition was established in 2009 "in order to further increase the world fame of "paradise" horses, which are the national treasure and pride of the Turkmen people."
At the first stage, out of 45 thoroughbred horses, 20 were selected, which were presented to an authoritative jury with gold and silver jewelry and other horse accessories.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the final of the competition, which included 10 best Ahal-Teke horses, will be held on April 30.
