Ashgabat summed up the results of the third Open Mathematical Olympiad (OMOUS-2023) with the participation of students from Turkmen and foreign universities. The mathematical review was held within the walls of the International University for the Humanities and Development (IUHD) from April 24 to 28.
More than 280 contestants from Turkmenistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Mexico, Germany, Hungary, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan took part in the intellectual battles.
According to the press service of the IUHD, Turkmen students won first place in individual and team competitions, earning a total of 138 medals - 22 gold, 44 silver and 72 bronze.
In second place were representatives of the Russian Federation. They have 12 medals - 5 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze. The top three with one gold medal was closed by students from Hungary.
From 4 to 10 places were distributed as follows:
- 4th place - Uzbekistan; (5 silver and 13 bronze)
- 5th place - Azerbaijan (2 silver and 1 bronze)
- 6th place - Mexico (1 gold in the individual category B)
- 7th place - Germany (1 silver in the individual category B)
- 8th place - Saudi Arabia (1 bronze in the individual category B)
- 9th place - Team of the World (Mexico, Hungary, Germany, SA) - 1 silver medal in the team standings.
- 10th place - Team of Friendship (Turkmenistan, Russia, Azerbaijan) - 1 bronze medal in the team standings.
