All rivals of the Turkmenistan national ice hockey team at the 2024 World Championship in the third division of group “A” have become known.
At the end of the tournament in group “A”, the Taiwanese team took first place and advanced to the second division (group “B”), and the Mexican team took its place, which took the last sixth place in the group “B” tournament of the second division. The Mexicans lost all five matches, losing to the teams of Bulgaria (2:4), Türkiye (0:5), Belgium (2:11), New Zealand (2:7) and the United Arab Emirates (4:9).
The team of Kyrgyzstan won the right to play in the 2024 season in group “A” of the third division of the World Cup, having won in group “B” of the third division of the 2023 World Cup. Hockey players of Kyrgyzstan won five victories in five matches, gaining 15 points. The tournament was held from February 27 to March 5, 2023 in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
In addition, the teams of Turkmenistan, Thailand and South Africa will also play in group “A” of the third division in 2024.
The venue of the tournament will be determined on May 28 at the Congress of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).

- Mexico, 6th in Division II, group “B”.
- Turkmenistan, 2nd place in Division III, group “A”;
- South Africa, 3rd in Division III, group “A”;
- Thailand, 4th in Division III, group “A”;
- Kyrgyzstan, 1st place in Division III, group “B”.
