Today Turkmenistan celebrates the Oraza holiday, which completes the 30-day fast dedicated to spiritual purification. President of the country Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the people of Turkmenistan on this sacred holiday. The congratulatory message published today in the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reads, in part:
“I am firmly convinced that bright events to mark this ancient and bright holiday will give joy and inspiration to the Turkmen people, increase our love for the Motherland and pride in its greatness and glory!”
The ancient Oraza bayram personifies generosity and goodwill. For Turkmens, love for their native land, friendship, philanthropy, goodwill, conscientiousness, purity is sacred, and therefore the holy month of Oraza and the blessed Night of Gadyr gijesi are invariably revered by the people.
The national heritage, created by wise ancestors, strengthens the unity of the people, gives strength and energy for creation.
“Our main goal is to make a worthy contribution to the strengthening of peace and friendship on Earth, to the rapprochement of cultures and peoples, to the further enhancement of the power of our beloved Motherland,” the head of state noted.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the people of Turkmenistan good health, long life, happiness and family well-being.
“May the Almighty accept your good deeds and prayers performed in the blessed month of Oraza in memory of the departed and in the name of increasing the world glory of our independent Motherland, a peaceful and happy life!”, wished the President of the country.
