As already reported, Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova died last week at the age of 86.
Before the meal, the National Leader of the Turkmen people addressed the gathering.
Greeting everyone and noting that today, following the ancient traditions and customs of the people, fulfilling the duty of humanity, in the holy month of Ramadan, charity is given in memory of his dear mother Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked the citizens for the many condolences in connection with her death, and also from the leaders of foreign countries.
"In fact, she possessed the best traits and qualities inherent in all subjects," said the National Leader of the Turkmen people. - Maternal care and holiness are the power on which the universe rests.
Hard work and conscientiousness were the meaning of life. Speaking about this, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that together with his father - Malikguly Agha - he made a lot of efforts so that their children became decent people.
"Children who receive proper upbringing in the family from their father and mother will definitely find their place in life", - emphasized the head of the highest representative body of the people's power of Turkmenistan.
As noted by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, many people consulted with his mother regarding ancient national traditions and customs. Cleanliness and hard work are the main requirements that Ogulabat's parents present to their children. She also found time to read books and periodicals.
Reminiscing about his mother's childhood, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that it happened during the war years. My child had to experience hunger that year. Then the Ashgabat earthquake led to massive destruction. This was a big shock for them. But no matter how many difficulties in life, they with pride and courage, courageously endured all the hardships. Thus, their difficult life path became an example for future generations.
The chairman of the People's Council also noted that needlework was an inviolable rule in their family. She invested love, tenderness and care in her products.
"It is necessary to continue this path relentlessly, preserving our national identity. "Traditions and customs from the depths of the ages must be passed down from father to son, from mother to daughter, thus ensuring continuity," said the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
According to him, the main goal of every mother is to bring up her child and introduce him to society.
"Therefore, there is no greater happiness for a person than to bring joy to his parents and justify their trust. The days spent with him are the most precious in a person's life," Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized.
As the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted, his mother Ogulabat Eje, as well as his father Myalikguly Aga, will go to eternal peace in the holy month of Ramadan, which is considered a blessing from the Almighty.
And at the end, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said: "I will accept the Almighty's charity and verses in memory of my mother Ogulabat Eje, who was an example of loyalty and love to the family hearth!" May it be a bright place of rest, and may his soul rest in paradise!
According to the centuries-old tradition, a prayer was read in memory of the deceased, after which the participants were given alms and food.
At the end of the ritual meal, the mufti of Turkmenistan recited a verse about the resting of the soul in paradise.
