President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will pay an official visit to Tajikistan on April 10-11, Asia-Plus reports with reference to the press service of the head of the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the visit, Serdar Berdimuhamedov will hold talks with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon, during which the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in various fields will be discussed.
It is also noted that on the eve of the visit of Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Dushanbe will host the first meeting of the Business Council of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as a business forum of entrepreneurs of the two countries, the date of which is scheduled for April 8 and 9, respectively.
A delegation of 100 representatives from Turkmenistan will come to Dushanbe to participate in them, of which about 70 are entrepreneurs from various regions. Tajikistan will be represented at the forum by over 200 local businessmen.
Within the framework of the meeting of the Business Council, prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of business, the search for new partners will be discussed, further expansion of economic and business relations and contacts between entrepreneurs and investors of the two countries will take place. An exhibition of export goods of the two countries is also planned.
The trade turnover between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in the first months of this year amounted to about 11.8 million dollars, which is 1.9% more than in the corresponding period last year.
