UNESCO Club opened at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute in Dashoguz

A UNESCO club titled "Protection of the environment is an important concept for sustainable development" has opened at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute in Dashoguz.

Numerous guests were invited to the opening ceremony. The Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, Hero of Turkmenistan, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Chinar Rustemova addressed the university with a welcoming speech.

After the solemn part, the first meeting took place, at which the teacher of the Department of Social Sciences A. Musaev was elected the chairman of the club. Priority activities of the club were also scheduled.

The club will bring together like-minded students, graduate students and teachers under the auspices of UNESCO on the participation of young people from different countries in joint thematic forums and seminars, scientific, educational and environmental initiatives.

The activities of such clubs around the world are aimed at bringing together young people for joint activities to strengthen cultural interaction, educate the younger generation of internationalism, respect for the cultural heritage of the peoples of the world, develop communication skills among students, as well as disseminate UNESCO initiatives, programs and projects, according to the website. We should remind that the first UNESCO Club “Languages of the World” in Turkmenistan opened in July 2022 at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages. In October, a UNESCO club called "Culture of Peace" was opened at the Institute of International Relations of the country's Foreign Ministry.
