The Federal Air Transport Agency has requested proposals from airlines to increase flights from Russia to Turkmenistan, Travel Russian News reports.
In addition to Turkmenistan, Rosaviatsiya offers Russian airlines to increase the number of flights to 14 more countries: to Azerbaijan, Belarus, India, Armenia, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Thailand, Tajikistan, Venezuela, Cuba, Egypt and Uzbekistan.
The Federal Air Transport Agency is also discussing the launch of direct flights between Russia and 11 countries. The list includes Myanmar, Malaysia, South Africa, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia, Morocco, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Russia and Turkmenistan are connected by direct flights of two airlines. Turkmenistan Airlines operates regular flights from Ashgabat to Moscow and Kazan. The Russian carrier S7 Airlines flies on the route Moscow (DME) - Ashgabat (ASB) - Moscow (DME) twice a week.
