Saving money is often associated with strict savings and giving up the usual pleasures of life. However, this does not have to be so. There are ways to save money without sacrificing comfort and without turning every day into a struggle for survival.

50/30/20

The essence of the method is to divide your income into three parts: 50% to spend on basic needs, 30% to spend on entertainment and pleasure, and 20% to put aside as savings.

"Pay yourself first"

In today's world, almost everyone faces financial obligations. These can be credit payments, debts to friends or colleagues, as well as prepayment for goods and services.

The key is to develop a healthy habit: first of all, take care of your own savings by setting aside a certain amount that is guaranteed to remain at your disposal. And only then should you distribute the funds to other needs. Thus, loans, utility bills, clothes, shoes and vacations become secondary expenses compared to the primary task - creating personal savings.

It is important to understand the difference between “putting aside” and “spending on yourself.” Purchasing new things like shoes, clothes, electronics, or a car is not putting aside money. These are certainly necessary expenses, but they do not increase your savings. Putting aside means saving money, ensuring your financial security and the ability to achieve long-term goals.

"4 envelopes"

The essence of the method is to divide the monthly budget into four parts, corresponding to four weeks. After setting aside 10% of income for savings and paying for mandatory expenses, the remaining funds are divided into four parts, each of which is intended for one week.

The specific method you choose depends on your individual needs and financial goals. The key is to get started and gradually implement healthy financial habits.
