II Games of the CIS countries will be held under the slogan: “Strong character - a bright game!”, writes “Mir 24”. The slogan, as well as the logo with a talisman on the eve, was chosen in Minsk. The games will be held in Belarus this summer.
In the center of the logo is an eight-pointed star. It blooms into a blue cornflower. This flower is one of the unofficial symbols of Belarus.
According to the creators, the cornflower reflects hospitality and friendliness. And the red, green, yellow and black petals are a reference to the colors of the Olympic rings.
“We follow Olympic traditions and values and create our own. The logo is bright and purposeful”, - emphasized Vitaly Ostrovsky, Head of the Marketing Department of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.
The Belarusian lynx has become the talisman of sports competitions. This animal was chosen for agility, speed and a sharp mind.
The II Games of the Commonwealth countries will be held in 11 Belarusian cities. Among the participants - about three thousand people. These are athletes, coaches and judges of the CIS countries.
