The fourth-generation 4G LTE communication network was launched by “Altyn asyr” into commercial operation in two large regional cities of Turkmenistan - Balkanabat and Dashoguz, reports Orient.
The network provides the ability to use high-speed data services using smartphones, tablets or modems.
All subscribers of “Altyn asyr” can use 4G. You don't need to connect anything extra. The main thing is that the smartphone and SIM card support LTE.
“Altyn asyr” introduced a 4G network based on the 2600 MHz FDD LTE band in 2013. Then high-speed mobile Internet was launched in Ashgabat, Turkmenbashi and in the “Avaza” tourist zone. In February 2023, 4G mobile Internet from “Altyn asyr” appeared in a number of settlements in the Ahal, Balkan and Dashoguz velayats.
In December 2022, “Altyn asyr” introduced new internet packages. For 200 manats you can purchase 20 gigabytes of Internet traffic. The internet package usage period is 30 days.
The mobile communication company “Altyn asyr”’ was established in 2004. It is a member of the GSM standard of the World Association for Cellular Communications and is registered under the index number TMCELL 43802. CJSC “Altyn asyr” has more than 4 thousand transmitting and receiving stations throughout Turkmenistan in various areas of mobile communications.
