On Tuesday, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia Dovletmurat Muratov met with Zaal Abashidze, director of the Georgian National Center for Manuscripts named after Korneli Kekelidze.
As reports the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed issues of further deepening and strengthening bilateral scientific and educational cooperation, popularization of the national heritage and cultural values of the peoples of the two countries.
Ambassador D. Muratov noted that 2024 was declared by the International Organization of Turkic Culture as the “Year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world - Magtymguly Fragi”. Preparations for the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen classic at the international level confirm that his creative heritage is the property of all mankind.
Z. Abashidze, in turn, stressed that effective cooperation between the National Institute of Language, Literature and Manuscripts named after Magtymguly of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Georgian National Center for Manuscripts, organization and holding of international conferences, exhibitions, various cultural events will help strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries.
