PSG defender Sergio Ramos announced his retirement from the Spanish national team at the age of 36, Match TV reports.

"The time has come. It's time for me to say goodbye to the Spanish national team. This morning, the current head coach of the team said to me and said that I was not included in his plans. Regardless of how I perform.

This is the end of the road. This is what I must accept, albeit with sadness, but also with my head held high. I am grateful to the fans for all these years. I have unforgettable memories. The Spanish national team uniform made me happy. I will continue to support the team with the passion of someone who has represented them 180 times. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who believed in me!” he wrote on the social network.

Together with the Spanish national team, Sergio Ramos became the world champion in 2010, and also won the European Championship twice (2008, 2012). As part of the national team, he played 180 matches and scored 23 goals.
