1. On February 21, 2023, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will visit Bahrain for a two-day visit. This will be his first visit to Bahrain since taking office as President of Turkmenistan in March last year. As a result of the talks at the top, a package of documents aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation will be signed.

2. Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin presented a grand piano to the Turkmen-Russian secondary school named after A. S. Pushkin in Ashgabat. The musical instrument was presented by Ambassador Alexander Blokhin on behalf of the Prime Minister of Russia. He congratulated the school on this wonderful gift and stressed the importance of developing and strengthening the friendship between the two states.

3. On March 1, a presentation of the tourism potential of Georgia will be held in Ashgabat. The event will be held by the Resort Development Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia to familiarize with the tourism opportunities of the country, its balneological resorts and investment projects. The Embassy of Georgia in Turkmenistan invites all interested organizations, travel agencies, private companies and representatives of airlines to take part in the event.

4. From March 1, 2023, “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping” Company CJSC will reduce prices for road transport in both directions along the Baku-Turkmenbashi-Baku route. The tariff for transportation of one standard road train in one direction will be 1000 USD instead of 1072 USD. If you purchase a round trip ticket in advance, the fare will be 1600 USD instead of 1716 USD. Currently, the cost of transporting a passenger car on a ship is 200 USD instead of 325 USD.

5. Uzbekistan has begun distributing liquefied natural gas delivered from Turkmenistan free of charge to citizens of its country. Railway wagons with liquefied gas have already arrived in Uzbekistan. Fuel is distributed among the residents of Karakalpakstan and the Horezm region. The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan reported that the fuel would be distributed among needy families free of charge. It should be reminded that earlier, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed an Order on the donation of a consignment of liquefied gas to Uzbekistan as “friendly and fraternal assistance”.

6. In the fourth quarter of 2022, a record number of bankrupt companies were registered in the EU countries. According to Eurostat, in October-December last year, the number of bankruptcy filings from European companies increased sharply. The solemn opening ceremony of the event will take place on February 25 at the Kuzbass Ice Palace in Kemerovo. The competition will be attended by representatives from 13 countries, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia.

10. “Trabzonspor” donated its proceeds from Europa League play-off ticket sales to the earthquake relief efforts. The press service of the team reported that the club received 328 455 USD following the results of the home match against the Swiss “Basel”. All funds are redirected to the Center for the Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters and Emergencies (AFAD).
