Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated all employees of the company on the 30th anniversary of “Gazprom”, noting that it employs top-class specialists who are proud of the whole country, writes “RIA Novosti”.
“Today we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of our world-famous company “Gazprom”. It is one of the largest, leading companies in Russia and a global leader in natural gas reserves, production and supplies. I am glad to congratulate all of you, all employees of “Gazprom”, on this significant date. And this is almost half a million people, more than 490 thousand: workers, engineers, geologists, drillers, builders, representatives of dozens of other professions. Really top-class specialists, which the whole country is proud of”, - he said in his welcoming speech.
The head of state said that on Thursday he discussed plans for the development of “Gazprom” with the chairman of the company, Miller. The President expressed confidence that the global demand for gas in the transitional period for the global energy sector will only increase.
Let us remind that on Wednesday, February 15, a working visit of the “Gazprom” delegation to Turkmenistan was held, during which Alexey Miller met with the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Let us add that the representative office of “Gazprom” has been operating in Turkmenistan since 2003. In July 2019, the Russian company signed a contract for the purchase of natural gas from the State Concern “Turkmengas” for a period of five years.
