A Bayramali city resident handed over to the employees of the Mary Museum of Local History a rare gold coin, the “MIR24” channel reports.
The coin itself is of Arabic mintage, its weight is 4 grams. Experts relate it to the period of VI – VII AD. Such money was used in ancient Merv.
The exposition of the Mary Museum of Local History reflects the history and culture of the region from ancient times to the present day. The museum’s fund is unique in terms of the number and content of exhibits.
