1. Negotiations were held in Ashgabat between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin, who arrived in the Turkmen capital on an official visit the day before. Berdimuhamedov and Volodin discussed issues of cooperation between the parliaments of Turkmenistan and Russia.

The 71st Turkmen school has Russian classes, which are taught in Russian. This was stated by the Speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin during his speech in the Mejlis of Turkmenistan. According to him, the popularity of Russian education among the citizens of Turkmenistan is growing. At present time, about 30 thousand Turkmen students study in Russia. Chairwoman of the Mejlis Milli Gengesh Gulshat Mammedova invited deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation to Ashgabat as observers for the upcoming parliamentary elections on March 26, 2023 in Turkmenistan. The invitation was announced at today's Ashgabat meeting of the speakers of the two countries' parliaments.

4. Artists of the team of national equestrian games “Galkynysh” from Turkmenistan will take part in the International Circus Festival in Monte Carlo. Prospects for cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Monte Carlo Festival were discussed during the meeting between the head of the “Galkynysh” group Pygy Bayramdurdyev, the director of the Turkmen State Circus Serdar Gurbangulyev and the President of the Monte Carlo Festival Urs Pils. During the meeting, Urs Pils invited Turkmen artists to take part in the 47th Monte Carlo International Circus Festival, which will be held in January 2025. Urs Pils also added that he was looking forward to presenting the unique Ahal-Teke horses at the Monte Carlo festival.

6. Turkmenistan has completed the first stage of a project aimed at preserving the head of the Buddha from a V century sculpture found in ancient Merv in the 60s of the last century. The project is implemented jointly by the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan and the Paul Getty Museum. The first stage included a preliminary examination, photo documentation and photogrammetry of the Buddha's head. 12 clay fragments of the head were recorded, 10 small face samples were taken for further study. These steps will allow you to understand the state of conservation and use 3D elements and images to reconstruct the artifact.

7. Updated migration rules came into force in Kazakhstan. In accordance with the introduced changes, foreigners arriving in Kazakhstan without a visa will be able to stay in the country for 30 days. The total stay for six months must not exceed 90 days. This rule will not apply to those who, during their stay in Kazakhstan, issued a temporary residence permit or received a visa. In the previous edition of the rules, this issue was not resolved, and foreigners could, after the expiration of the period of stay, leave Kazakhstan and re-enter, thereby updating it.
