The German chancellor is in search of an urgent replacement for the country's defense minister, and preference is given to a female minister, writes “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.
It is assumed that the current Minister of Defense of Germany, Christine Lambrecht, will resign, so she urgently needs to find a replacement. Olaf Scholz is ready to consider candidates exclusively for women, since at the beginning of his term he promised that half of the ministers in his cabinet would be women.
The vice-president of the Bundestag, however, does not share Scholz's enthusiasm and reports that ministers should be selected for office solely on their professional qualities, and not on gender.
Christine Lambrecht is regularly criticized for the poor supply of the German army.
