Turkmenistan and business circles of France discussed a wide range of issues on the development of cooperation

At the initiative of the Turkmenistan-France Chamber of Commerce, a business lunch was held, which was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Paris, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan and French business circles.

Representatives of such French companies as VINCI Construction, CARPI Tech, MEDEF International, SAFRAN, PMJC, CIS Energy, IN Groupe, Thomson Broadcast, Oberthur, Airbus D&S, Saberatours and others attended the meeting.

The business lunch gave the participants the opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues aimed at enhancing trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and France, as well as promising areas for their development.

Ambassador of Turkmenistan Maksat Charyev briefed the French side on the favorable conditions created in Turkmenistan for foreign business and offered to take an active part in the implementation of investment projects. Spheres for investment are proposed in such areas as the chemical industry, gas and petrochemical industries, the textile industry, and agriculture. He also spoke about sectoral development programs that clearly define projects planned for implementation with the participation of foreign capital.

The Ambassador proposed to create joint ventures with Turkmen companies, including IT companies, on the territory of Turkmenistan.

The representative of the State Customs Committee of Turkmenistan S. Berdiev briefed those present on the exchange activities in Turkmenistan, talking about the procedure for registering export and import contracts.

Representatives of the French business were able to get answers to their questions, exchange views and get personal advice from representatives of the Embassy and the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

It was decided to continue the regular practice of holding such events in order to establish a permanent dialogue with French entrepreneurs, the press service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Paris reports.
