The “Tour de France” bicycle marathon will take place in Italy for the first time ever in 2024.
This decision is related with the 100th anniversary of the first victory of the bicycle rider from Italy. It will was Ottavio Bottecchia, who won the competition in 1924.
Let’s note that the “Tour de France” was held in 1903.
The current champion of the competition is Jonas Vingegor. This year, the cycling route was laid across the territories of Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium and France. The finish took place in Paris.
