The head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, Rustam Minnikhanov, posted a photo of his dog, a Turkmen alabay named Akdus, on his Telegram channel.
The head of Tatarstan noted that for a long time he hadn’t shared such photos with subscribers and complained about the lack of time.
“For a long time, I haven’t posted a photo of Akdus. It is rare to have a stroll together – there is a lot of work”, the Telegram channel says.
Alabay, who was still a puppy, was presented to the head of the Republic Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the spring of 2021. Dog’s nickname in translation from Tatar language means “White friend”.
Let’s note that the Turkmen alabay is the variety of Middle Asian shepherd dog. This breed is considered to be one of the oldest on Earth and is a national treasure of Turkmenistan.
