A creative evening dedicated to the People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, composer Rejep Allayarov will be held on November 18 at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva.
Rejep Allayarov , a famous Turkmen composer, was a student of Alfred Shnitke and Kara Karayev. He left a rich creative legacy, including works in chamber, vocal, symphonic genres, romances, songs, music for theatrical performances and films, instrumental and choral compositions.
As a teacher, he has trained a whole galaxy of talented musicians and composers.
The main source of his creativity, Rejep Allayarov considered the art of folk singers – storytellers, known as bagsgi, well known to him form childhood. His favourite folk instrument was the dutar, which occupies a special place in the Turkmen culture.
The program of the evening will feature the best vocal and orchestral compositions of the composer, according to the publication “Turkmenistan: The Golden Age”.
