Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh, will take part in the Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States to be held in Samarkand city on November 11 of the current year, reports the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States.
The summit will be also attended by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and the President of Türkiye Rejep Tayip Erdogan, the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban and the OTS Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev.
The summit devoted to the theme of “New Era for the Turkic Civilization: Towards Common Development and Prosperity”. The Forum will become a platform for discussion of ambitious agenda of the OTS, where the leaders will make decisions on various agreements and official documents in the fields of economy, trade, transport and customs.
At the end of Summit, the chairmanship of the organization will pass from Türkiye to Uzbekistan and the participants will sign the Samarkand Declaration.
Let’s note that in April of the current year Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov entered the Council of Elders of the OTS. In September was held a meeting between Rashid Meredov and the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Baghdad Amreyev, where the issues of the further cooperation development were discussed.
